Camels were a part of Roman life, and due to the size of the Empire, were even present in Great Britain during ancient times. They were associated with the God Sileus, the father of Dionysus, and the deity who bestowed the golden touch upon the famed King Midas. The camel represents patience, and fortitude in the face of hardship - storing up its reserves to draw upon in moments of trouble. This pendant is made from deep blue lapis, and is studded with diamonds.
