The Argus is a beaded necklace adorned with aquamarine-blue zircon bezel set in 18k plated gold.

Hera was the wife of Zeus who is associated with the colour blue thanks to her presence in the heavens and the chariot in which she rode, drawn by peacocks. When she discovered that her husband had fallen in love with Io, she sent her hundred-eyed servant Argus to guard Io and ensure that Zeus did not approach her. Sadly, the God of Thunder was not to be deterred. He struck down Argus in order to reach Io. Hera, in honour of her faithful servant, placed his hundred eyes onto the tail of her peacock, giving that bird its magnificent appearance.

Handcrafted and individually cast. Each piece is unique, which we believe is what gives it its beauty. Each stone is natural, untreated as well as traceable. This means each stone differs in tone and colour. Nickel and lead free. Dimensions: 43cm long, stones - 0.5cm x 0.7cm.

As we hand craft each piece, slight variations are to be expected and are what make our designs one-of-a-kind.

Please be gentle with your treasures and do not apply lotions and perfume while wearing your gold plated pieces. Please avoid water when wearing gold plated jewellery.

Gold has a tendency to scratch, so extra care should be taken when wearing and cleaning to maintain quality and appearance.

Sterling silver that is worn regularly requires less care, so we encourage you to wear your silver treasures daily.

Online purchases can only be returned for exchange via post, to the Cleopatra’s Bling Head Office.
