This limited release golden pendant, engraved with its edition number, is set with a carnelian stone. Upon the stone is a hand-etched image of a gazelle with horns tossed back.
Many linguists believe that the Arabic word for love poem, ghazal, comes from the word gazelle, because the lithe animal was often used in literature as a metaphor for the beloved. One story tells of a Caliph who freed a captive gazelle because it so resembled the woman he loved: O likeness of Layla, never fear! For I am your friend, today, O wild gazelle!
We have hand-crafted only 10 pieces of this pendant, which once sold will never be recreated. Each pendant carries a different stone hand-etched with varying images, and is engraved with its edition number, making the piece you own truly one-of-a-kind.
