The image of two serpents intertwined is a venerable one, with deep roots in the Ancient Near East, particularly Mesopotamia. The word mushussu literally means furious serpents, and like other protective amulets is a fearsome symbol designed to ward off evil. These twin snakes would stand guard at temple doors, and were thought to be the companions of the storm-God Tishpak. Here they cradle a sacred emerald, the gem of clarity and inner truth.
Neither the photos on Instagram or on the website do any justice for this ring. This ring is absolutely stunning! Truly perfection! It is an absolutely beautiful ring. Very beautifully made.
