The garance flower blooms in France across the fields of Provence. It’s small red blooms are grouped in joyous bundles at the tips of long green stems. The deep red petals were used by traditional artisans in the textile industry, to create natural dyes. Not only the Gauls, but also the Vikings, Romans, and ancient Indus Valley civilisations used the Garance flower to stain their clothes red, for religious and aristocratic attire. The oldest surviving example comes from the grave of the Merovingian queen Arnegundis, who was buried in what is today Paris, in robes dyed this classic rouge. The Garance Ring is an ode to craftsmanship of all kinds, with its red garnet stone set in our Florentine studios, by hand. Pictured here in 14k solid gold.

As we hand craft each piece, slight variations are to be expected and are what make our designs one-of-a-kind.

Please be gentle with your treasures and do not apply lotions and perfume while wearing your gold plated pieces. Please avoid water when wearing gold plated jewellery.

Gold has a tendency to scratch, so extra care should be taken when wearing and cleaning to maintain quality and appearance.

Sterling silver that is worn regularly requires less care, so we encourage you to wear your silver treasures daily.

Cleopatra’s Bling accepts the return of unworn and unused items in their original condition and packaging within 14 days of order receipt, for store credit. Please contact a member of our team to begin the returns process.

This policy strictly excludes items to which a discount code has been applied, sale items, and items made-to-order or customised in any way, including all solid gold items.

Online purchases can only be returned for exchange via post, to the Cleopatra’s Bling Head Office.
